March Favourites

Hey Ladies!

I can't believe it's the end of March already and I do wish the year would slow down a bit (or speed up and get warmer!), but it does mean I get to share my favourite products of the month with you and it's certainly been a few weeks of wonderful beauty finds...

If you want to find out more about the products in my lovely bird cage beauty box then you can give my March Favourites Youtube video a watch as I go into detail on everything and as always please do subscribe to my channel here if you like it...

What are your March favourites?

I've had a very chilled out day eating Oreo ice cream and watching New Girl with my boyfriend but now I'm off out for drinks with the girls, I haven't seen some of them since Christmas so I can't wait!

I hope you've all had a lovely Easter Saturday!

Easy Easter Bunny Nail Art!

Hello Lovelies!

To celebrate the start of the Easter weekend I thought I would show you the easy Easter bunny nail art me and my friend Lydia tried out this morning. I love doing nail art for special occasions and find you can do some really simple techniques that leave cashiers asking 'oo where did you get your nails done?' as you hand over your money. That's what I try to go for anyway...

Nail Varnishes from left to right: Barry M 'Strawberry Ice Cream', Nails Inc. 'Percy Street', Essie 'Turquoise & Caicos', Barry M 'Peach Melba', Beauty Uk 'Blue Moon'.

My nails are the first set at the top of the post and even though you can clearly tell I'm right handed I was still rather pleased with the results! All I did was paint each of my nails in a different pastel colour as I love pastels for Spring, then add white detailing using a lining and dotting tool from Avon, but cocktail sticks and bobby pins work just as well if you don't own one of these. I went for some dotty and stripy Easter egg patterns on three of the nails and did cute bunnies on the other two which I finished off with black eye liner and sealed with the Seche Vite top coat. I actually preferred Lydia's bunny rabbits though as the little bent ears she did looked so cute! I also liked the more simple look she went for by only using one base colour and decorating alternate nails, which would be great if you have to work this weekend or want to wear wear a bit more of an understated look.

Will you be wearing any Easter nail art this weekend?

Since my last post on Tuesday I've had a really lovely few days. My favourite was Wednesday when I went up to London with my boyfriend to see the musical 'The Book of Mormon' (which was so hilarious everyone should go and see it!) and then got wined and dined at Jamie Oliver's Restaurant 'Barbecoa' where I pretty much ate my body weight in delicious food. Then last night I hung out with some friends and have spent Good Friday seeing family and doing nail art of course!

Have a lovely rest of your Good Friday!

The Easter Wishlist with John Lewis

Hey Ladies!

Now it might not feel like it with the current wintry weather, but Easter is fast approaching and if there is one shop that does lovely things for special occasions, it's John Lewis, so today I thought I'd pick out the Spring things I'll be lusting over this Easter weekend*...

1. Reiss Apricot Trim Jumper - The perfect solution to a snowy spring, a cosy knit in pretty pastel colours will keep you warm and stylish.
2. Jellycat Blossom Easter Chicks- Super cute chicks made of a super pretty pattern, these would make a great gift (or little treat for you).
3. YSL Rouge Pure Shine Lipstick in 'Red Strauss'- No wishlist is complete without a luxury lippy and this candy colour would be great for creating a fresh Spring look.
4. Yellow Egg Tealight Candles- Candles aren't just for Christmas, these egg ones would be perfect for Easter decoration and relaxation.
5. Reiss Salmon Tulip Long Sleeved Shirt- I love nothing better than a good collared shirt and this salmon one would look lovely if you're doing something special this weekend.

What are you lusting over this Easter week?

I had such a lovely time last night having my friends over, although what was supposed to be a wine and film night descended into a make over and cups of tea night (We're clearly getting old!), it was so much fun but I felt sorry for the boys! Today I've been filming some more youtube videos to go up over the next couple of weeks and later I'm going to help at my Mum's Rainbow and Brownie meetings as they're doing really cute Easter cooking and craft. I've got another day in London with the boyfriend to look forward to tomorrow too, but I really must make time to do uni work soon...oopsie!

I hope you're all having a lovely week!

My First Vlog! London: OOTD, Vitality Show, Shopping, Musicals & MAC!

Hello Lovelies!

Just a super quick post from me tonight to tell you I've just uploaded my first ever vlog video which is a follow me around type thing all about my exciting day in London last week! There is a nice midi dress outfit of the day in there and a cheeky MAC lipstick purchase so I'd love if you gave it a watch and subscribed here if you like it!

I need to go and get ready now as I'm having a few friends over tonight for some vino and a catch up, lovely jubbly. I'm also happy I don't have to drive anywhere as I managed to get very lost in countryside roads after seeing Faye last night, never a good thing when you're also running out of petrol...

Have a lovely night everyone!

Recent Drugstore Releases To Get Giddy About!

Hello Lovelies!

Now I know I run a (mostly) budget blog which makes me a bit biased, but I really think the drugstore is having such a moment right now. Every time I browse the blogasphere or pop into Boots there seem to be so many exciting new releases tempting me to part with my pennies so today I thought I'd share the ones I'm most excited about...

1. New Revlon Lip Butter Shades- Revlon have just brought out four new gorgeous shades of their famous lip butters for Spring and Summer; Pink Lemonade, Juicy Papaya, Sorbet and Wild Water Melon. I personally can't wait to get my hands on Papaya as it looks like a more coral toned version of my favourite lip butter, Tutti Frutti, but I can't seem to hunt these down anywhere at the moment. Sad face.
2. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation- I spent ages swatching this on Friday but haven't quite bit the bullet yet as I'm using up some other foundations first, but boy am I excited to try this. It's about time the drugstore came out with a good natural lighter coverage base and as this one has been compared to Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser I think this could be it!
3. TRESemme Platinum Strength Range- I've invested in a few TRESemme ranges before but found them very hit and miss (love Keratin Smooth, hate Full Repair), however since this range came out I've heard nothing but praise, particularly for the deep conditioner, so I intend to be platinumly strengthening my dyed heat abused locks very soon.
4. Bourjois Blush in 'Healthy Mix'- Another thing that I find to be very hit and miss are the little round pot blushes from Bourjois as some of them have zero colour pay off. However, last week this new shade caught my eye as it claimed to be a universal healthy glow shade that partnered my favourite foundation, the Bourjois Healthy Mix. I then eagerly swatched it and discovered it was really pigmented and the shade was almost an exact dupe for Nars 'Gina' and Illamasqua 'Lover' for a fraction of the price.
5. Barry M Gelly Nail Paints- I'm sure you've all heard a great deal about these already, but if you haven't these are a new range of high shine, gel finish long lasting polishes from Barry M that are one pound dearer than there usual range and so so worth it! They come in an amazing range of colours and the shade I own, 'Papaya' is already one of my all time favourite polishes!
6. Sure Compressed Deodorant- Last but not least we have the new compressed deodorants. It's not a very glamorous product, but no one likes to be sweaty on the go right? Well now no one has to be as they've managed to fit 150ml of product into a 75ml bottle that fits into any handbag a treat but lasts a lot longer than normal mini cans. Sure Clear Pure Crystal is my favourite, but Dove and Vaseline have released them too.

What new releases are you getting giddy about?

I've had a really nice chilled out weekend with the boy catching up on my sleep and eating too many naughty things (healthy eating always starts on a Monday right?) I'm really excited for tonight and tomorrow too now as I'm having big catch ups with all my home friends who've also been away at uni. It's crazy that it's only a week till Easter and there's snow on the ground though! Let's hope it brightens up this week so we can all wear our pastel nails and Spring wardrobe next weekend. Fingers crossed!

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend!

Goodbye Girls Aloud: Concert Outfit

Good Morning Girlies!

I'm still a bit in mourning today due to the fact Girls Aloud officially split for good last week, so much so I decided to do a post in memory of them (okay so they're still alive and everything, but they'll be no more 'start of something new' to bop around the house to), which is what I wore to go and see their arena tour in Sheffield a few weeks ago...

Blazer- Dorothy Perkins
Vest top- h&m
Jeans- Primark
Shoe Boots- New Look
Necklace- Primark
Bracelet- New Look
Lips- Rimmel Apocalips in 'Stellar' (Post here)
Nails- Nails Inc. 'Knightsbridge'

As we were going to be standing up/dancing around for ages I wanted to wear something comfy, but still stylish (This was a Girls Aloud concert after all, Cheryl may have seen me), so I decided to do something I hardly ever do and dress up some jeans. These aren't just any jeans though, they're the comfiest, best fitting, softest jeans around and they're only about a tenner from Primark! You can hear more about these 'Ultra soft super skinny jeans' in this post and video. Instead of teaming these with a colourful blouse as I usually would, I decided to dig out the blazer that I bought for the Cosmo Blog Awards as blazers are a super classy, easy way of dressing up any outfit. The silky swing fit material makes this one very wearable so I just popped it over a white vest and added some staple jewellery and neon coral lips and nails to liven things up a bit. In the footwear department I actually took a bit of a risk as I decided to wear heels even though we were standing, jeaned legs just look so much better in heels if you're a shortie like me! The risk paid off though as I was still able to jump around till the last number AND my legs looked good enough for Chezza to see. Win win.

On a side note I've been loving wearing my hair in a donutless top knot like this one lately and have had some lovely comments about it from you guys so will try and get a tutorial up on that soon :) I also wore a top knot when I went to London yesterday with my Mum and sister as it went well with my new BooHoo midi dress. It was such a great day as we went to the Vitality show at Earls Court, shopping along Oxford Street (hello cheeky MAC lipstick purchase in Selfridges) and then saw the musical 'A Chorus Line' at the Palladium. I actually vlogged the whole day for my first 'follow me around' video so you can subscribe to my Youtube channel here if you want to see that soon!

Have a lovely Saturday!

Meg's Magic Manicure starring Barry M Gelly Paint

Hey Girls!

There's nothing I love more than a good manicure, I just don't feel myself if my nails aren't properly pampered and painted, so today I thought I'd show you how I magically manicure my nails to give me bullet proof talons that also stay in tip top condition. There's also a sneaky peak of the new product I may have purchased today (oops)...

1. I like to start the manicure by sanitising my hands with the Soap and Glory Hand Maid Hand Cleansing Gel because it leaves my hands feeling clean and smelling lovely.
2. I then use a nail varnish remover and cotton pad to get rid of any stubborn unwanted scraps of polish from my last manicure. My Cutex remover of choice is acetone free with extra conditioner as this is less harsh on the nails.
3. It's now time to move onto sorting those cuticles out by softening them with Boots Salon Care Cuticle Remover, waiting a minute or so then pushing them back gently with a cotton bud. This is the safest and most gentle way to remove them (don't attack them with tweezers and try to avoid wooden sticks) and you should only need do this once a week.
4. Once those nail beds are looking neater I attempt to sort out the actual nail enamel with an Alfred Denny nail quatro which has four different sides to buff, smooth, shine and file those pesky nails to perfection.
5. After all this I start actually applying polish, starting with the China Glaze Ridge Filler Base Coat which I got from Amazon for around a fiver and love using to ensure I have a nice smooth surface. You only need a single thin coat, it dries almost instantly and protects nails from staining. What amazing stuff!
6. Now for the exciting part (Yes I do find nail polish abnormally exciting!). I went for a little shop with my Mum and sister in town today and convinced my sister to go in for the Barry M Gelly Nail Paint offer with me so I could get this gorgeous shade 'Papaya'. She got 'Watermelon' as she prefers darker colours but I can't comment too much as we've only just applied them, however I'll do a full review of both soon. For now though I'll say that they apply like a dream, are so pigmented you could get away with one coat and Papaya is such a perfect orange toned peachy coral shade I already know it'll be a firm favourite.
7. Once the one or two coats of colour have dried I pop on a thin layer of the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat which I again got from Amazon for about £5. I got this because Vivianna raves about it and it certainly does leave your manicure with a super shiny strong finish that makes your manicure last those few days longer.
8. Last but not least I finish my manicure by applying Soap and Glory Hand Food liberally all over my hands, as a good nourishing hand cream leaves them feeling soft and supple and smelling delicious, as well as improving the look of the skin around the nails.

What products do you use to create a 'magic manicure'?

I've had a lovely start to my Easter holiday as my sister and her boyfriend are down from Portsmouth for a while and so today we all went to a cute little tea and craft place for lunch followed by some shopping, then my grandparents came to visit. I'm going out with her for a few drinks tonight too as it's her birthday this Thursday so looking forward to flashing my gorgeous fruity nails at everyone!

I hope you've all had a lovely start to the week!

My Skincare Saviour: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Hey Ladies!

When you spend as many hours as I do perusing beauty blogs it's incredibly hard not to be sucked in to all the hype that surrounds certain products (I've no idea how I've kept away from Nars 'Orgasm' for so long!). Sometimes this turns out to be a bit of a bloggers pitfall as ones persons holy grail item is another persons, erm, the opposite of holy grail. However in the case of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo I'm so happy I caved into the good reviews as it's become my new skincare saviour...

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo £13.00 Boots
Firstly, I thankfully don't suffer from problem skin, however it's in no way perfect either as my pores sometimes make me want to cry and there are times when my skin has a funny five minutes that turns into more of a funny five days where blemishes decide to pop up on my face. But ever since starting to use this product a couple of months ago I've found my skin to improve so much overall and be a lot more consistent. The actual product is a bit of a weird one, but it's essentially an imperfection treatment that comes in the form of a moisturiser type substance which targets open pores and spots. I use it once a day in place of a moisturiser in my night time skincare routine as I find it hydrating and soothing enough to do this. It also has no scent so would be great for sensitive skin, although I did accidentally get it in my eye today which is a place a wouldn't recommend putting it as the four active ingredients it contains didn't go down too well with my eyeball. I would use it in place of a primer in the morning too but sadly it's rather expensive at £14 for a fairly small bottle, but saying that I am still on my first one as a little product goes a long way and you don't have to put it all over your face if you only have problem skin in certain areas. I've got to admit I was sceptical when I heard all the hype about this product as skin care is such a personal thing, but my pores have most definitely got smaller and my skin has been much clearer and brighter too. I do still get the odd spot and my pores haven't vanished so it's not going to cause an overnight miracle but it's still the biggest skincare saviour I've found and I'd recommend adding it into your skin care routine immediately if not sooner. You go Effaclar Duo. Four for you Effaclar Duo (cheeky mean girls reference there, I must watch that again soon).

I've just got home from a really fun overnight trip to London where I went to see the musical  'Priscilla Queen of the Desert' with my friend Katherine. We were lucky enough to sit on the front row and got asked to go up on stage and dance with the cast after the interval which was amazing, as was getting to stand next to Jason Donavon in the wings! So yes if you like really camp, glittery, drag queeny things I'd really recommend it for a fun girls night out. I may also have gained an exciting lipstick shaped MAC product on my travels but more on that later...for now I'm back home to start my Easter holidays and looking forward to spending the rest of my weekend chilling out with the boy. Have a lovely weekend whatever you're up to!

The March Wishlist

Hello Lovelies!

After having a strict no spending Wednesday (after a few too many cocktails and drunken pizza last night) I thought I'd spend my evening going virtual shopping. Like window shopping but in your onesie with a cup of tea, although I do personally think this attire should be acceptable for outside shopping also...but anyway here are the five things I found that I am now lusting after this month. It's quite a Spring themed wishlist as I'm refusing to acknowledge the snow relentlessly falling outside!

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser
2. Asos Rose Gold Watch
3.Topshop Speckled Yellow Dress
4. Benefit Brow Zings
5. Barry M Gelly Nail Paints

What's on your March Wishlist?

As was suggested by the cocktails and pizza reference at the start I had a really fun night out last night at an event called 'swing into spring', which as you might guess was swing themed. Cue 1940's curly hair, pretty dresses and a good old scouse brow! Tonight though I'm just sorting through some job and internship applications, I sent my first one off today and I'm glad I've finally got the ball rolling for what I'm going to do with my life come June!

Have a lovely night ladies,

Preppy Pop: Outfit Post

Hey Girlies,

If there is one look I love lots and lots, it's the preppy look as I just can't help but adorn collars, brogues and jumpers like there's no tomorrow whilst thinking 'Caroline Flack eat your heart out' to myself (Surely I can't be the only girl that does this...). Which is probably why I decided to give my usual school girl chic thing a bit of a bright colour pop Spring update last week as I did in this outfit last year...we'll ignore the fact there is very wintry snow outside right now.

Top | Topshop
Skirt | New Look
Belt | New Look
Tights | M&S
Brogues | ASDA

This was a look I wore out to dinner a few weeks back. I only had about 20 minutes to get ready as  it was a last minute plan and I was in fact all prepared for a night in wearing my pyjamas and watching youtube videos. But did I panic when this dinner date was sprung upon me and my hair looked like a birds nest? Alas, no I did not, instead I tried to make the birds nest thing work for me and went for 'cute preppy girl that just skipped out of school randomly wearing a coral coloured top and matching lipstick' look. Such a classic well known look... This was a top I bought in my House of Fraser haul back in January but until recently had remained unloved and unworn at the back of my wardrobe in favour of my wintry burgundy colours. However, neon coral is totally having its moment now March is upon us (again, please ignore any possible snow starring at you from outside the window here, it will ruin the illusion of Spring I am creating), first with my new favourite lip colour 'stellar' and now with this pretty collared blouse which you may have seen lurking around your local Topshop in various colours. As the blouse is fairly loose fitting I decided to pair it with my housemate's skater skirt nipped in with my trusty new look belt, then added my rather battered bargain brogues to tie in the tan colour and also to add to the schooly feel. Finally, I finished off the look with a messy high pony tail which reminds me of how I liked to wear my hair at Primary school and had forgotten about until really recently but currently can't stop wearing!
What looks and colours are you loving now Spring is Springing?

There's not much to say about my weekend so far as it's been a pretty chilled one dotted with various rehearsals, my housemate Nick has gone to New York this week though so me and Rosie had a very girly time last night sorting out my ridiculous make up collection. I decided I only want to keep the things I really love and use all the time so there will be a big old blog sale coming soon! I'm sad that I can't be with my mummy today though but I hope you all had lovely mother's days if you could be at home :)

Have a lovely night ladies, I hope you'll be joining me in my enthusiasm for the 'Dancing on Ice' final!

Rimmel Apocalips in 'Stellar'

Hello Lovelies!

So I've spoken quite a bit already (major understatement) about these wondrous new lip products from Rimmel, in fact you can see a full range of swatches in this blog post and watch me talk about them in this beauty haul video. But hey you can't ever talk about good lip products too much, right? That's what I'm hoping anyway as today I'm giving my very favourite Apocalip a post all of it's own. Don't worry Stellar, you've earned it...

Rimmel Apocalips | £5.99 from Boots
If you don't know already Rimmel Apocalips are a hybrid product called a lip lacquer which mixes the best parts of lipsticks, glosses and stains together to form a bit of a wonder product. They come in a range of eight amazing shades but I was instantly drawn to 'Stellar' as it's such a vibrant neon coral colour with reddish pink undertones and I didn't own anything like it. As you can see from the swatch the pigmentation is incredible as it gives you a full coverage of colour in one swipe and I also find the colour in the bottle to translate exactly on the lips. Despite the opaque coverage this is certainly not a matte or drying product as it goes on very wet, like a glossy cream with a high shine finish and then dries down to a stain that feels comfortable on the lips and also lasts for very a long time making this a great dinner or all dayer/nighter product. My only qualm is that sometimes the actual product is a little too wet making it a bit messy, so I would wait a while before indulging in any activities, such as, erm, kissing and things...the applicator does make applying the product very easy though and I also love the packaging and the branding and all for only £5.99! Well done Rimmel.

Have you fallen for the Apocalips yet?

I've been nursing a bit of a sore head today as I may have indulged in one too many cocktails last night, but it was totally worth it as one of them contained actual oreos and I had such a fun time dancing around like a loony toon. I then remedied this hang over by going for a pie today with the girls at a place called 'The Hop'. I'd highly recommend it if you're ever in Sheffield as it was so yummy and definitely made me feel better for my strenuous night in with Rosie watching the Katy Perry movie and discussing her new Boots purchases, girly housemates are the best sometimes!

Have a great Friday night everyone,
Love Meg

Boots & Beauty Haul

Hello Girlies!

Look who's been busy buying beauty bits again...oops! Oh well, at least I can say it was for the good of my blog and youtube channel...we all use that excuse don't we? To be fair though these are things I've collected from Boots and various places over the last month or so and there are some proper gems hidden in there including a new holy grail lip product, miracle nail top coat and products that give you instant perky peepers...

If you want to find out more about each product and just see me ramble on for a bit then you can give the video above a little watch and subscribe to my youtube channel here if you enjoy it :)

I need to go and carry on being productive now as I'm sorting out my CV so I don't stay sad and unemployed for too long after I graduate. I need to fake tan and possibly dye my hair tonight too...because clearly a great tan and bright hair will help my job hunt hahaa! Oh and I also created a new blog header today and would love to know what you think...Have a lovely night ladies!

Soap and Glory Shower Staples

Hey Girls!

I don't think there's a single beauty blogger around that isn't at least a little bit in love with Soap and Glory, from its pretty pink retro packaging and funny names to its incredible scents and huge range of products, it's just an amazing brand. And all from a drugstore! Well, due to all the S&G lovin going on at the moment I thought I'd do a couple of features on my staple Soap and Glory products, starting with the ones I ask to join me in the shower (lucky things)...

Soap and Glory travel size products | £2.50 from Boots.
Scrub your nose in it
Scrub your nose in it is, as you would imagine, a facial scrub made especially for those pesky pores that pop up on your nose and other areas of your face. But what makes this scrub so special is that it doesn't stop there, oh no, as if pore refining wasn't enough it also helps to prevent blemishes and leaves your skin looking bright and radiant. Miracle product or what? This is also great for sensitive skin types as the micro abrasive beads within it are very small and gentle so you don't feel like you're actually scrubbing your face away when using it, which is obviously not something I would recommend doing. I use a small amount of this product every other day and really feel it helps keep my face clear and clarified, sadly it does smell slightly odd and minty but it's not a scent that stays once you've washed it away.
Flake away
This little pink pot has to be my favourite body scrub of all time. It's a spa strength smoothing dry skin body scrub that contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar. If those ingredients  aren't enough to make you want to go out and buy this (and probably want to eat it a little bit too) then I can also confirm it does an amazing job of smoothing out the skin, ridding it of any dry patches and making your body a perfectly even surface for tanning and any other lotions and potions you might like to put on it. Just like the facial scrub this isn't too harsh on the skin either, so you don't run the risk of looking like you've attacked yourself with a brilo pad after using it. Again brilo pads are not something I'd recommend, I don't care how cost effective they might be!
Clean on me
As it says on the bottle this is a creamy clarifying shower gel. There's not much to say about this product apart from it lathers up in a gorgeous frothy way and smells divine, just like the Righteous Butter which I think contains shea butter and aloe vera. Never content with just making you clean, Soap and Glory claims this product also contains a built in body lotion that leaves your skin silky smooth and I do notice my skin feels extra moisturised and lovely after using this with my luffette every time I shower. My only qualm is that the bottle design makes the actual product quite hard to get out as you just have to kind of tip it and wait for the gel to run down, but it's a small price to pay to smell like sunshine and marshmallows all day.

As you can see I have all travel sized products as I'm always on the go between home, my boyfriend's and uni so these are super convenient for me and also last a surprisingly long time considering they're only £2.50 a pop! I'll be uploading a Boots beauty haul video tomorrow featuring some of my top S&G handbag products so you can click here to subscribe to my channel if you want to see that. What are your favourite Soap and Glory products?

I've had a nice day enjoying the sunshine and Spring weather at uni (I also tried jacket potato cheese and bean soup, how amazing!) and now I'm having my friend round for dinner before going to see a uni production of one of my favourite musicals, The Last 5 Years. I think I need to treasure these last few months of being a student as life might not be quite so leisurely come September! I hope you're all having a great week!

Go Glam or Go Home: Miss Flicklash false lashes

Good Evening Girlies!

Even though right now I'm snuggled up in my PJ's ready to catch up on the results show of dancing on ice, I am rather partial to a good night out as I love nothing more than getting all dolled up and having a boogy (and a few drinks of course, but we'll save my new found love for tequila shots and skittle bombs for another time). One of the best things about going out has to be the make up, when else can you adorn a poppy lip and false lashes like there's no tomorrow? Just like these gorgeous and glamorous lashes from Miss Flicklash*...

Miss Flicklash False Lashes | £9.99 from Eyesbright

These lashes are pretty much as glam as you can go as they come with a glittery eyeliner flick attached, which is great as it means you don't have to spend ages trying to blend in the line between your fake lashes and your eye lid with tricky liquid liner. This flick also has a sticky coating making these so easy to apply and by far the securest fake lashes I've tried, as you can still use the glue that comes with them to make them even more long lasting. The lashes themselves are certainly of the statement variety as they are very full and long and I have to admit they're a little too heavy for my liking, but they do look lovely paired with a simple nude lip or little black dress and I shall be keeping them close to hand for when I'm going on one of those 'out out' like really 'out' type nights. Even though they may seem a little pricey at £9.99 for one pair from eyesbright you can definitely get a good few uses out of them. Well, as long as you don't rip them off when you get in at 3 in the morning and manage to tread them into the carpet the next day, yes this may have happened to me a few times! What are your favourite false lashes?

After having a very busy time being out and about last week I've just had a lovely chilled out weekend with my boyfriend at home, which mainly consisted of eating too much chocolate and watching films like Argo (which is amazing!) and paranormal activity 4 (hmm, not quite so good),  back to business at uni tomorrow though... I hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Love Meg
