The New Wow | Benefit Gimme Brow

Just look at the difference between left & right! Courtesy of Benefit Gimme Brow- £17.50 Counters & Online

Beauty is back on the blogging menu tonight ladies and for starters we have a brand new brow product from Benefit Cosmetics- Gimme Brow! As you know I work at BeneTowers (aka Benefit Head Office) so I've had this product for quite a while now but it officially launches everywhere in the UK tomorrow and I'm desperate to let you know why I've fallen head over brows for it.

You may think this product looks like another tinted setting gel but in actual fact it's a 'volumising fibre gel'- the very first of it's kind on the market! This means it not only shapes, sets and tints with amazing colour pay off but also volumises those bad boys creating the appearance of real hairs, making it the most easy, natural and effective brow product I've tried to date! I know it might sound a bit too good to be true so I thought I'd show you the difference it can make on the lovely Rachael above- as you can see the right brow which was given the Gimme treatment is so much fuller and defined but still very natural. I think this makes it the perfect product for those that are a bit scared of getting the dreaded 'scouse brow' or have quite sparse or fair hairs. I've actually been blessed with quite dark, full brows so it doesn't work quite so drastic wonders on me personally, but I still love it as a super quick and easy way to fill in my brows, keep them in place all day and top them up when going from desk to dance floor- with the teeny precise wand there is genuinely nothing to stop you applying this whilst walking down the street! The formula doesn't smudge or crisp either (crispy  and eyebrows are two words you never want to put together) and a little goes a long way so the £17.50 price point is rather reasonable for a high end product that you can't get anywhere else and will last a long time. It does only come in two shades, but judging by the vast variation of people I've seen wear this product the colours seem to adapt and blend very well and 'light/medium' is perfect for myself and Rach. If you're still not sure this product is magic then simply head to a counter tomorrow and test it- in fact why not try out my top tip by layering this over a bit of of Brow Zings for the ultimate 'Cara Wow-Brow' look. Bigger is better afterall...

Have you fallen head over brows for this Benefit beauty?

The Videos | LFW14 Lookbook/VLOG & Fashion Haul

Hey lovelies! Tonight I just have a little video/general update for you because yesterday I uploaded a London Fashion Week Lookbook (My first ever!) & VLOG onto my YouTube channel and Becca uploaded our Fashion Haul collab on her channel featuring Primark, ASOS, New Look and matching hats. I had so much fun filming both of these videos and I'm really happy with them, so it would mean a lot if you gave them a watch and subscribed to both me and Becca! I gained so many lovely new subscribers from these videos too so I'm now at over 12,000 subs which is just incredible and I've not really stopped pinching myself all day- my Twitter and Instagram have grown lots as well so I'll be updating them nice and frequently if you want to head over. And whilst we're on the subject of YouTube don't forget to enter my big Primark voucher giveaway which closes this week! On a side note sorry if my blogging and vlogging gets a little disrupted in the next few days but my macbook decided to die on me last weekend (typically just after the seriously technological boyfriend had gone back home) and I'm having to do everything out of hours at work. This situation should be sorted by Monday though and I'll be back to blogging with a vengeance- make sure you're following me on bloglovin' so you don't miss out :) Work's been pretty manic this week too as Benefit are supporting the launch of Brow Arch March, which is super exciting but does mean I'm very ready for tomorrow's cupcake and cocktails social. Make mine a margarita ...

LFW14 | Day Three

Zara Jumper / Zara Skort / New Look Boots / Topshop Socks / Primark Satchel / Michael Kors Watch / Ciate Ferris Wheel

And so we come to the last day in my London Fashion Week Diary (You can now escape the seriously photo heavy posts for a while), day number three. This sunny Sunday brought a bit of a lay in followed by a leisurely breakfast, lots of outfit photos by the London Eye and the most incredible experience of being backstage at the Matthew Williamson show before heading to his exclusive afterparty at Whiskey Mist! But first, the outfit...

I needed to wear something a bit more 'blendy in' on Sunday as I knew I would be working backstage with Benefit later in the day so I opted for my new pleather skort from Zara accompanied by a cute checked crop sweater. You can't go wrong with the traditional black & black combo right? The skort was actually a recent present from marvelous Mother Gunn and I'm soooo in love with it! I've wanted the original Zara skort since it sold out last year but I actually prefer this one as the pleather gives it a bit of an edge, whilst the classy length and fit makes it decent enough for work. The jumper was a last minute panic outfit addition courtesy of the lovely Rosie who had bought it the day before- it's hard doing Fashion Week from a small suitcase- and I'm going to struggle to return it to her now as it's super classic and cosy. I then thought I'd enhance it's monochrome element with an adorable white satchel and add a pop of colour with my go to red lip in the form of No.7 'Gay Geranium', which paired with some heeled cut out boots made me feel rather chic, even amoungst all the fashionistas backstage.

Actually going backstage was such an incredible experience- I spent my time covering social media for Benefit as they were doing the make up look, whilst just trying to take in the general craziness of getting an insane amount of models ready for the catwalk. And not only did I meet all the gorgeous models, but also Matthew Williamson himself alongside three of my all time favourite bloggers/vloggers Lily Melrose, Ruth Crilly and Lisa Eldridge! It took all of my will power to remain at least semi professional...well until the VIP afterparty that is when I let my hair down to the max with free cocktails a plenty (Something I did somewhat regret when starting work at 9am the next day). The make up, hair and clothing for the show was absolutely stunning too with glossy chocolate lips, low pony tails and vibrant patterned dresses and jumpsuits- make sure to pour over all the beautiful photos from the show here

LFW14 | Day Two

Primark Jumper / New Look Skirt / Mango Coat / h&m Flatforms / M&S Tights / Michael Kors Watch / Ciate Ferris Wheel / Rimmel Apocalips in 'Stellar'

The second day of Fashion Week brought a change from the cutsie smock featured in day one's post to a slightly more sophisticated 50s/60s/even 90s clueless look. Or a more Marlene from Only Fools and Horses look but let's not dwell on that comparison... I got the cute pastel mohair jumper from Primark in my giveaway haul and was determined to bring it out at Somerset House so paired it with a houndstooth tube skirt to create a retro hourglass effect and I really love how the two pieces work together. I then brought out the shearling coat and half hair to complete the 'extra from Made in Dagenham' thing I seemed to have going and again I was super happy to get snapped as I sauntered about! I must also give a shoutout to my h&m flatforms which gave me both height and stability in a sea of ridiculously well dressed people, my current minty blue nail obsession in the form of ciate 'ferris wheel' and the classic Rimmel 'Stellar' Apocalips which provided me with an all day long colour pop.

In terms of my diary of the day it started with a yummy English breakfast then moved to Somerset House where I saw Proudlock, Jamie and Spencer (cue excessive chelsea style fangirling) afterwhich we boarded a rather fun Shopcade party bus. Me and Becca got to see our first show too, which was Serap Pollard at the fancy Charing Cross Hotel, in fact we even got promoted to the Frow!! It was a great moment and was proceeded by a really great show full of bold colours and patterns and contrasting textures. I pretty much fell in love with the sequinned party dress which will no doubt appear in some highstreet form come Christmas time. I actually headed into Oxford Street after the show for a spot of shopping and food at Topshop with the girls, (I could genuinely spend all day just in that Topshop) and then had dinner and drinks in the evening with another London dwelling best friend before heading back to my hotel to get ready for Sunday...

Are you mad for mohair?

LFW14 | Day One

Primark Smock / Sheinside Coat / New Look Fedora / Zara Shopper / Primark T-bar Shoes / Topshop Socks / Michael Kors Watch / Ciate Ferris Wheel

If you've been following my Instagram or Twitter for the past few days then you'll know I've been having quite a busy and exciting time of it- last night for example I was lucky enough to attend the ELLE Style Awards with Benefit and got to watch the whole ceremony up close seeing the likes of Katy Perry, Cara Delevingne, Kylie Minogue, Emma Watson, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and Tinie Tempah! Needless to say I was fan girling to the max... but anyway onto today's post about the exciting time I had last weekend at London Fashion week!

It was my first season at Fashion Week and needless to say I was nervous but I actually didn't need to be as it turned out to be the most amazing experience. I thought I'd start the week with a Spring outfit not too out of my comfort zone so went for my gorgeous new floral Primark smock dress which I made a bit more 'fashion' with my fedora and more cutesy with my dolly socks and t-bar shoes. I also had to wear my new black boyfriend coat (which I actually put my arms through- shock horror), skin coloured tights and Zara shopper basket due to extreme weather conditions and amounts of luggage! It is hard to be all fashiony in British weather carrying camera equipment...The outfit went down rather well though and I got snapped by lots of people at Somerset House so now my pictures are now popping up on sites like Lulu Guinness which is crazy! My beauty look also got papped for the Beauty Edit in Grazia, so keep your eyes peeled for a very windswept Meg trying to look all modelly somewhere in Grazia soon.

My itinerary for Friday kicked off with an incredible blogger breakfast at the Savoy courtesy of New Look which has to be one of the best (and most expensive) french toast breakfasts I've ever had the pleasure to eat. The Savoy was just beautiful too and I felt very posh indeed- luckily we didn't have to be up too early to get there either as I was kindly put up in a hotel right next to the London Eye with Becca and Kavita for the whole week and hanging out with them so much was great fun, although you would not believe the amount of clothes our room was home to once all our suitcases popped open! I met lots of other amazing bloggers too, particularly at cocktails with BooHoo which I went to later in the afternoon at the ME Hotel where there were free Cosmos aplenty and attendees such as the gorgeous Patricia from Brit Pop Princess. After browsing a couple of fashion collections at the hotel I then continued the drinking theme into the evening by going out for drinks with Rosie before hitting the hay ready for day two...
