OOTD-Working girl

Hello Lovelies!

I've come back to sunny sheffield today to start my second year at uni, it's freshers next week and everyone says it's better second time round so I'm very excited! Anyway I had my last shift at work last week so thought I'd show you what I wore. I work at a library when I'm at home in Kent so I'm lucky because I don't have to wear a uniform and can wear anything I want as long as it's not too low cut or short.

Top- River Island
Leggings- H&M
Vest- New Look
Sandals- Topshop
Bracelets- Pandora and Links of London
Necklace- H.Samuels
For my last shift I decided to wear my gorgeous new river island top with a long black new look vest top underneath, black h&m leggings and my gold topshop gladiator sandalls (which I love so much I will be dedicating a blog post to them in a few days!) For jewellery I wanted something simple as I felt my top made enough of a statement so I wore my pandora and links bracelets with my heart necklace.

I have to be comfy and smart when I go to work as I need to be able to move around, but also look like a member of staff. This top was perfect as it's so comfy and quite loose fitting, but at same time the sheer fabric with pretty print and lace around the top makes it nice and dressy.

This is also one of the most flattering tops I own as it floats over the tummy and nips in at the sides, creating cape like sleeves with splits up the middle that your arms come through, which is a style I haven't come across before and one that I love! Usually I wouldn't bother wearing a vest underneath this top as it's just the right kind of sheer fabric to wear over underwear, but obviously I needed to cover my body and my bum for work!

Are you lucky enough to be allowed to wear what you want to work? Or do you find ways to express yourself by playing around with your uniform?

Love Meg

  2. Thanks for the lovely comment on my blog. I wasn't sure whether to blog about books and stuff but I'm glad I did now. Finally someone else that likes Andy McNab books. Seriously I'm the only one I know haha. Have you read any of Chris Ryan's?

Freshers is certainly better second time around. Your hair is amazing by the way. =D x

  3. AngieBeautyBelle- Thank you so much again, you've made my day with your sweet comments!

V- Yeah you should defiantly keep writing about books too, I think I'll start doing a few book reviews soon. I haven't actually read any Chris Ryan but my boyfriend has and he really likes them. Yes I'm too excited for freshers and thanks so much, I'm at the difficult stage of growing out a pixie cut at the moment so it's so nice to get good hair comments!
